We saw fascinating flora and fauna and had incredible views throughout the trip. The horses and mules were really fun to travel with and were sometimes downright entertaining. The crew was terrific, fun, knowledgeable about "the Bob" and had some fascinating stories. The only problem with the entire trip was that it had to end. This was the third trip I've taken with Sun Canyon and it will most definitely not be the last. More

In terms of lodging they offer both camping and cabins. The cabins range in price and amenities and are all spotlessly clean and cozy.
For camping there is a large lawn with lots of fire pits. There's a stream that runs along the eastern side of the lawn that you can hear from the sites. Pretty amazing.
The bathrooms are EXTREMELY clean and well kept. They are also the nicest we've yet seen for a campground. A nice change after spending a few nights at Glacier.
The beauty of this place is nicely complimented by the attitude of the staff. Niki (one of the owners) went WAY over the top making sure we had everything we needed. She is a pleasure to talk with and has a vast knowledge of the surrounding area. She also makes a mean breakfast. The pancakes are enormous, delicious, and all the food is very reasonably priced. They also offer lunch and dinner.
Sun Canyon is also a fully functioning hunting lodge. They offer back country fishing trips, hunting trips, horseback rides, and more.
There are a few very friendly dogs that roam around the property. They were especially appreciated on our first night as there was a black bear about somewhere. One of the dogs, Curry, spent the entire night outside our tent watching over us. Pretty awesome.
All in all our experience here was fantastic. If you're in the area of Augusta or Choteau it's worth driving into the mountains to visit this place, even just for lunch.

We stayed here for several nights. The camp ground is terrific. Showers are amazing! The restaurant serves terrific meals and the prices are reasonable. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. They don’t treat you guests, they treat you like family. Thank you to Nikki, Josh and cowboy Nick for making our stay memorable and fun.
This is a beautiful spot. The fishing opportunities are excellent and you can’t beat the Bob Marshall wilderness for hiking and horseback riding. I’ve travelled all over the west and highly recommend this place.

A true piece of heaven hidden in the Rockies. Whether you are a camping local or a cabin-renting out-of-state tourist, this is a place of peace, beauty, super clean facilities and some of the best burgers you will ever taste. The views are breathtaking and the staff is wonderful. A Montana “must do!” Would recommend without question or hesitation.

The staff was amazing. The scenery was spectacular. The accommodations were cozy. I really appreciated the whole operation–this was in the middle of covid and though the mask mandate did not apply to Teton County, they struck a balance between careful and adaptable. I recommend highly!
