Choose to come and visit our lodge. You may stop for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner or rent a rustic cabin and enjoy the beautiful scenery overnight. We rent our cabins by the day, week or month.

The outstanding scenery around the Sun Canyon Lodge is breathtaking all year long. Come for a weekend with your camera to catch the foliage changes and wildlife.

Cabins

We have comfortable cabin accommodations from which you can enjoy all the outdoor activities during the day and return to your cabin that evening. You may do your own cooking using the outdoor fire ring or join us for delicious menu meals at the lodge. Cabins rent by the day, week, month or season. BBQ’s are our specialty, with liquor service available. We have RV & tent spaces and a shower house with laundry facilities. There are large play areas for children, with swings, volleyball and tetherball. We also have horseshoe pits.

Once you get settled, feel free to schedule a tour on the Gibson Reservoir or a trail ride on our gentle mountain horses. Join us in the Lodge for cool evening drinks at our all beverage bar.

Gibson Reservoir Boat Services

*May throughout July (availability based on water levels)

Take in the magic of Gibson Reservoir. The reservoir is seven miles of beautiful country and history. Our boat offers comfortable seating for six passengers. This one hour tour is ideal for those that do not want to explore on foot or horseback.

Our shuttle service is perfect if day tripping in to fish, hike or have a picnic lunch. The shuttle also assists those heading into the Bob Marshall Wilderness for the week. We will drop and return to pick you and the party up at a predetermined (scheduled) date and time at the head of the Gibson Reservoir. The boat offers room for eight passengers with gear. This service proves to be a quick way to access the North Fork of the Sun River as well as the South Fork of the Sun River without having to hike or ride the seven miles to the top end, as well providing a head start on a hiking trip to the famous Continental Divide-Chinese Wall!

Occasionally, one needs to transport gear to the top end of the reservoir. If so, we utilize a flat deck pontoon to haul your goods, assisting you to your final destination.

We stayed here for several nights. The camp ground is terrific. Showers are amazing! The restaurant serves terrific meals and the prices are reasonable. This is a beautiful spot. The fishing opportunities are excellent and you can’t beat the Bob Marshall wilderness for hiking and horseback riding. I’ve travelled all over the west and highly recommend this place.

Sun Canyon Lodge is tucked in to a breathtakingly beautiful gulch with a cliff on one side and mountain views on the others. Josh and Niki are wonderful hosts, with Niki handling things at the Lodge and Josh guiding the wilderness piece of the adventure. The cabins surrounding the main lodge are charmingly rustic and immaculate. The main lodge, with the restaurant and bar, is warm and cozy. The stables and corrals are a short stroll away so you can visit the animals and if you’re lucky, see a new foal! Be sure to ask Josh and Niki’s young son Charlie for a tour.
